Description
The BSc (Hons) Podiatry is the only university programme in Podiatry offered in Greece. The degree is awarded by the Queen Margaret University. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) though the international route. The programme aims to develop podiatrists who are patient focused practitioners, reflective in all aspects of practice and proactively engaged with learning and professional development. The BSc (Hons) Podiatry is designed to include contemporary modules ascribed to six broad scientific areas, all of them directly related to the profession of Podiatry: Clinical Studies, Locomotory Science, Physiology, Disorders and Management, Interprofessional teamwork, and Evidence Based Health Care.

Career Prospects
The BSc (Hons) Podiatry programme offers the necessary skills to those who wish to advance professionally in the Podiatry sector. As Podiatrists they will provide preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a range of problems affecting the feet, ankles and lower legs. This can include infections, defects and injuries, as well as foot and nail conditions related to other major health disorders such as diabetes. They will also give advice to patients on improving mobility, independence and their quality of life. Podiatrists work with a team of people including nurses, physiotherapists and doctors.
