Description

The MA Creative Writing programme of study focuses on shaping an environment of collaboration and interaction. The course’s aim is to motivate students to write and then provide them with insightful - sometimes demanding – but, always, supportive feedback.

Another trait that makes this programme unique is that all of the course’s tutors are recognized, award-winning, published and practicing authors. In each session students will be expected to write but also receive feedback in order to develop your own writing style.

Admission Requirements

The program is addressed to amateur writers who wish to develop professionally in creative writing.

Required documentation:

  • Bachelor's degree from higher education institutions in Greece or abroad
  • Portfolio of samples of creative writing 
  • ID Card
  • Other degrees (if any) 
  • Metropolitan College Application Form

The evaluation of the above supporting documents is completed by an academic interview. Candidates who do not have a first degree but wish to be evaluated based on a sample of high-quality creative writing output, are strongly encouraged.

Academic Staff

The academic staff of the School of Culture and Communication consists of distinguished lecturers, holders of Masters and PhD degrees with extensive research and teaching experience at Greek and foreign Universities plus professional recognition in the field of Journalism or the Arts.

In their majority, they have significant professional experience and have participated in top projects and events in the field of Film Directing, Journalism and Music Production.
