Poster presentation of Logopaedics graduate during Autism Congress in Larissa, Greece

news 000528Metropolitan College Logopaedics graduate Tatiana Gennatou (Logotherapist, Hippotherapist) presented the results of her thesis research project in a poster presentation during the conference “The Puzzle of Autism: 10 years after ... developments and prospects” which took place in Larissa, Greece between May 8-10 in the Larissa General Hospital lecture hall.

Mrs Gennatou poster presentation attracted the attendants’ warm interest and was entitled “The influence of Hippotherapy in the Communication and Social Skills of a child with Autistic Spectrum Disorders”. Her supervising Professor was Mrs Maria Boyatzi, Pediatric Neuro-psychologist and Academic Link Person, Department of Logopaedics, Metropolitan College.

The conference welcomed more than 700 participants and hosted many internationally distinguished speakers.
The team is preparing to submit a new poster presentation, in the forthcoming 5th Pan-Hellenic Congress on Autism, after re-evaluation of the specific case presented in the research project. The congress will take place in Piraeus between October 16-18, 2015. We wish them good luck!
