AMC graduates at ‘Berlinale Talents’ of the 66th Berlin Film Festival

berlinale talents logoAward-winning short film director, Thanasis Neophotistos, and also award-winning director Asimina Proedrou - both graduates of the BA in Media Production-Film Directing offered by Metropolitan College in collaboration with Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh participated in this year’s ‘Berlinale Talents’ of the 66th Berlin Film Festival.

The festival, the well-known Berlinale, that attracts some of the most famous names in the world of entertainment, was held in the German city between 17-21 February 2016. The two directors had the opportunity to attend more than 35 educational sessions of the festival run by famous directors, screenwriters, actors and film producers, while they came in contact with over 260 young filmmakers from around the world.

It is worth noting that the undergraduate programme BA in Media Production-Film Directing - the only British university Bachelor programme delivered in Greece –belongs to the Faculty of Culture & Communication, an award-winning faculty of Metropolitan College, since films made by its students and graduates have won Awards for Best Director and Best Film in Greek and International Film Festivals.
