The “International Conference on Information Security and Digital Forensics-ISDF 2017” by Metropolitan College

isdf6 newsThe Faculty of Computing of Metropolitan College Thessaloniki, in cooperation with The Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications (SDIWC) organized – for the third time in Greece and the city of Thessaloniki - The International Conference in Information Security and Digital Forensics (ISDF 2017). The conference was held at Metropolitan College’s main auditorium hall in the Thessaloniki Campus.

The ISDF hosted invited speakers from 18 countries (including USA, UK, Japan, S.Korea, Italy, Brazil, Brazil, Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and France).

The conference works included 23 presentations of research papers (out of 40 submitted) by international research groups, focusing among other topics on the following:

  • CYBER security
  • Digital Forensics
  • Information assurance and security management

All academic papers presented will be included in ProQuest, ResearchGate Google Scholar, and SDIWC Digital Library, as well as in the conference’s proceedings.

During the conference, the Best Paper Award was given to Davy van Doren, EA European Academy of Technology and Innovation Assessment, Cologne, Germany for his article: Optimizing the Innovation Capacity of Public Research Organizations: An Agent-Based Simulation Approach.  

The award was given by a vote among the members of the Scientific Committee of the Congress. The conference was attended by professionals from Greece and abroad, as well as students, including undergraduate students of the Metropolitan College of Informatics and postgraduate students of MSc in Information Security and Computer Forensics, offered in collaboration with University of East London.
